About the Position


Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating various regular and ad hoc financial/project reporting items. Our organization is growing and you will work in conjunction with various teams to drive process improvements and efficiencies for producing meaningful information and insight for our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting and the annual external audit
  • Coordinating and reviewing semi-annual, annual and other ad hoc financial reporting items to Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) and/or other stakeholders
  • Provide reporting on individual funds and against financial plans, budgets, and forecasts
  • Responding and coordinating responses for financial queries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Preparing, monitoring and analyzing cash flows and monitoring and managing the treasury processes
  • Assistance with developing and administering effective financial workflows and internal control policies and procedures
  • Assisting with streamlining of current financial reporting and operational system to improve operating quality
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations, funding guidelines, filings and reporting requirements
  • Leading/assisting with any special projects as required
  • Assisting with finance department duties and coverage as required



  • CPA with 5+ years of experience
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Exposure to MS Dynamics/Power BI/Salesforce will be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of ASNPO will be considered an asset
